War!

Afghanistan, Iraq, basically I think it was OK that the Americans went to war with these countries. I do not care what some of Europe says about it. Even if there were no atomic weapons in Iraq crazy Sadam would have continued to make his people suffer and other peoples feel insecure. I know very well countries with dictators, I have lived in one. The mess that exists or is created in these kind of developing countries can be a perfect ground for anything including terrorists, Al-Qaeda, WMDs, smuggling, ethnic cleansing, etc. You do not want to take the risk and believe that they won't do this or that. I am 100% sure that there were and are terrorists there. Westerners sometimes do not understand and it's not their fault. Developing countries are other "worlds", different mentalities, different everything.
The "but" about the war
At the beginning I thought that a war was not neccessary. The solution would be convincing Sadam through a big political and economical campaign that "Al-Qaeda" brings the "sorrow" and the US brings the "happiness". It may sound bizarre but for me everything is worth saving soldiers lives. At the end Sadam is a crazy ignorant guy comparing to western politicians that have attended some of the best universities in the world. These guys should have been able to manipulate Sadam in some way. Probably he was too stubborn and they were lazy. Media "propaganda" would have been a good way to convince his people. Maybe there is not so much "university research" on how to convince muslim people about things like "killing is a sin in the eyes of Allah", "terror and dictators are evil" etc. etc. The US foreign policy with Iraq has been a real "academic" dissapointment.
